La Pregunta Por Dios

La pregunta por Dios surge desde los inicios de la filosofía tanto en relación con el universo como con el hombre. Es una pregunta permanente y última de la que surgen la teología natural y las pruebas tradicionales de la cosmo-teología y de la antropo-teología. El autor analiza el significado y función de esa cuestión en los grandes sistemas filosóficos, comenzando por los griegos y analizando la fusión de la teología natural y la teología judía y cristiana, así como las tensiones resultantes de la helenización del cristianismo y la cristianización de la filosofía. A partir de ahí se analiza la pregunta por Dios en el marco de la filosofía moderna, se estudia la crítica ilustrada a la religión, el significado del ateísmo y el agnosticismo, y las diversas interpretaciones del hecho religioso en la época contemporánea. La reflexión final constata el fracaso de la teodicea y de la demostración de la existencia de Dios a partir de las pruebas tradicionales. De ahí la pluralidad de perspectivas que se abren al preguntarse por Dios desde una perspectiva metafísica, religiosa y nihilista. Se trata de una pregunta última para la que sólo hay respuestas penúltimas, desde la que hay que plantearse la racionalidad de la fe y de las creencias en confrontación con una razón crítica, reflexiva y argumentativa. Conjugar la no demostrabilidad de la existencia de Dios con la racionalidad de la fe es uno de los intentos de este estudio, que se mueve en el ámbito de la teología filosófica racional y también de la teología fundamental cristiana. Estudió filosofía en la Universidad Pontificia de Comillas en Madrid y posteriormente hizo el doctorado en la Universidad de Granada, de la que es actualmente Catedrático de Filosofía de la religión. También cursó teología en Innsbruck, Munich y la Universidad Gregoriana, en la que se doctoró en teología. Ha sido durante muchos años profesor de la Facultad de Teología de Granada, y profesor invitado en Facultades e Institutos de teología y Filosofía de Lima, Asunción, Managua, México y San Salvador (UCA). Sus líneas de investigación y docencia abarcan las corrientes contemporáneas de la filosofía, sobre todo la Escuela de Frankfurt sobre la que ha impartido muchos cursos y ha publicado diversos trabajos, y el teísmo filosófico (teodicea y teología natural), que constituye el núcleo principal de su trabajo.

The study of the application of the title ancestor to Christ permits the author to delve into the Christological reflection in Africa today through one of the principal ways. At play here is the inculturation of the faith, which cannot be fully achieved without a process of theological assimilation of the fundamental parameters in the African life. The thesis, therefore, is not only limited to a mere description of the contemporary panorama in that respect, but attempts to offer a theological evaluation of the real expressive capacity of the title, as it has been proposed. The criterion used is therefore double: In the first place, the thesis tried to show that the human and the divine natures of Jesus Christ can be maintained in such a way that there is no rupture with the great tradition of the Christological councils. In the second place, if it is capable of responding to demands of Christology from above and from below. In all this, however, the horizon of the debate is not occidental exegetical investigation well known by the author; but from the theological ambient of sub-Saharan world. The conclusion is positive, pondering the terms involved. The work can be of great use in the christoogical endeavors of contemporary Africa, as well for those who desire to delve into it.
