I want to tell you all about the people who have hurt me recklessly, loved me unconditionally, healed me selflessly, and ultimately made me who I am today. This is my story, but I hope you can find a piece of yourself in these poems. And I hope you'll feel less alone afterwards.

As a young recent graduate and newly trained Lutheran teacher, she traveled to Selma, Alabama where she was able to teach and live at the home of Dr. Rosa Young.
