Ministry Digest Vol 04 No 05

In this issue we will continue four lines of ministry. The first line--The History of the Lord's Recovery--contains chapters 31 through 34 of The Recovery of the Church according to the Pattern on the Mountain, which are in volume 1 of The Collected Works of Witness Lee, 1950–1951. This section includes fellowship concerning the responsible ones' meeting and the gospel meeting, fellowship on how to conduct gospel meetings, and fellowship on how to meet. The second line--Words for New Believers--contains chapters 49 and 50 of Crucial Truths in the Holy Scriptures, Volume 5, and chapter 51 of Crucial Truths in the Holy Scriptures, Volume 6, which are in volume 4 of The Collected Works of Witness Lee, 1932–1949. These chapters cover sufferings, the Sabbath Day and the Lord's Day, and the church. The third line--Maturing in Life--contains chapters 37 through 40 of The Kingdom, which are in volume 2 of The Collected Works of Witness Lee, 1972. These chapters cover the manifestation of the kingdom, the transfer of the reality of the kingdom into its manifestation, and the Lord's dealing with the believers at His coming back. The fourth line--The High Peak of the Divine Revelation--continues with chapters 10 through 13 of Crystallization-study of the Epistle to the Romans, which are in volume 1 of The Collected Works of Witness Lee, 1994–1997. These four chapters cover the structure of the gospel of God being the righteousness of God, the life of Christ, and the faith of the believers, the divine transfer of the believers from Adam to Christ, and the Spirit of life.

In this issue we will continue four lines of ministry. The first line--The History of the Lord's Recovery--contains chapters 4 through 7 of The Training and the Practice of the Vital Groups, which are in volume 2 of The Collected Works of Witness Lee, 1993. This section includes fellowship on knowing the condition of our vital group, our need for a new generation, our building up a habit of contacting people, and the need in the Lord's recovery today to build up the habit of contacting people.The second line--Words for New Believers--contains chapters 4 through 7 of Ten Lines in the Bible, which are in volume 3 of The Collected Works of Witness Lee, 1959. These chapters contain messages on the line of life, the line of building, the line of the kingdom, and the line of God's covenants.The third line--Maturing in Life--contains chapters 31 through 34 of Perfecting Training, which are in volume 1 of The Collected Works of Witness Lee, 1980. These chapters contain messages on our cooperation and God's operation in Romans 8, the definition of the law of life and how it works, the scientific working of the law of life, and the main function of the law of the Spirit of life.The fourth line--The High Peak of the Divine Revelation--contains chapters 12 through 15 of The Christian Life, which are in volume 2 of The Collected Works of Witness Lee, 1991–1992. These chapters cover our living and walking under the crucifixion of Christ.

The first line--The History of the Lord's Recovery--contains chapters 23 through 26 of The Recovery of the Church according to the Pattern on the Mountain, which are in volume 1 of The Collected Works of Witness Lee, 1950–1951. This section includes topics on fellowship concerning the districts, fellowship concerning arrangements for various services, and fellowship concerning district meetings. The second line--Words for New Believers--continues with another portion from chapter 48 of Crucial Truths in the Holy Scriptures, Volume 5, which is in volume 4 of The Collected Works of Witness Lee, 1932–1949. This chapter on entering into the kingdom of the heavens is quite lengthy, and it will be continued in the subsequent issue of Ministry Digest. The third line--Maturing in Life--contains chapters 29 through 32 of The Kingdom, which are in volume 2 of The Collected Works of Witness Lee, 1972. These chapters cover the matter of ambition for position being contrary to the kingdom life; the matter of Christ being versus religion, politics, doctrines, and law; the matter of the resurrected, ascended, and reigning Christ; and the matter of the reality of the kingdom. The fourth line--The High Peak of the Divine Revelation--continues with chapters 2 through 5 of Crystallization-study of the Epistle to the Romans, which are in volume 1 of The Collected Works of Witness Lee, 1994–1997. These chapters cover the center of the gospel of God being Jesus Christ the God-man, the content of the gospel of God being the dynamic salvation of God in its fullness, and the structure of the gospel of God being the righteousness of God, the life of God, and the faith of the believers.

The first line--The History of the Lord's Recovery--contains chapters 15 through 18 of The Recovery of the Church according to the Pattern on the Mountain, which are in volume 1 of The Collected Works of Witness Lee, 1950–1951. This section includes topics related to the spirit and the mind and being conformed to the image of God's Son. The second line--Words for New Believers--contains chapters 45 and 46 of Crucial Truths in the Holy Scriptures, Volume 4, and chapters 47 and 48 of Crucial Truths in the Holy Scriptures, Volume 5, all of which are in volume 4 of The Collected Works of Witness Lee, 1932–1949. These chapters cover topics related to the service of the new covenant, the believers and sins, obtaining the reward, and entering into the kingdom of the heavens. The chapter on entering into the kingdom of the heavens is quite lengthy, and it will be continued in subsequent issues of Ministry Digest. The third line--Maturing in Life--contains chapters 21 through 24 of The Kingdom, which are in volume 2 of The Collected Works of Witness Lee, 1972. These chapters cover the principles of the kingdom and the path from rejection to glory. The fourth line--The High Peak of the Divine Revelation--continues with chapters 38 through 41 of God's New Testament Economy, which are in volume 3 of The Collected Works of Witness Lee, 1984. This section contains four chapters on the New Jerusalem that cover the throne in the New Jerusalem and the application of the New Jerusalem to the believers, including its entry, constitution, and existence.

In this issue we will continue the four lines of ministry that began in the first issue of Ministry Digest (vol. 1, no. 1). The first line--The History of the Lord's Recovery--continues with chapters 3 through 6 of The World Situation and God's Move, which are in volume 1 of The Collected Works of Witness Lee, 1981. These chapters speak of God's ultimate move to carry out His eternal intention, His ultimate recovery, and the world's ultimate situation. The second line--Words for New Believers--continues with chapters 3 through 6 of Basic Lessons on Life, which are in volume 1 of The Collected Works of Witness Lee, 1979. These chapters speak of God's intention in man, Satan's plot to spoil man, the real significance of man's fall, and the salvation of life. The third line--Maturing in Life--begins a new book with chapters 1 through 4 of Knowing Life and the Church, which are in volume 1 of The Collected Works of Witness Lee, 1953. These chapters speak of life being the goal of God's creation and redemption, life being God Himself enjoyed by man, the obstacles that God's life encounters in man, and the subjective obstacles encountered by God's life in us. The fourth line--The High Peak of the Divine Revelation--continues with chapters 5 through 8 of The God-man Living, which are in volume 3 of The Collected Works of Witness Lee, 1994-1997. These chapters provide a word of definition concerning the God-man living and then continue to speak of the first God-man's living.

In this issue we will continue four lines of ministry. The first line--The History of the Lord's Recovery--contains chapters 18 through 21 of Fellowship concerning the Urgent Need of the Vital Groups, which are in volume 3 of The Collected Works of Witness Lee, 1991–1992. These chapters cover mutual teaching in the group meetings by mutual asking and mutual answering, paying the price to learn the divine truths and practice the mutual teaching in the vital groups, the vision needed to carry out the vital groups, and how to contact and gain people. The second line--Words for New Believers--contains chapters 13 through 16 of Crucial Truths in the Holy Scriptures, Volume 1, which are in volume 3 of The Collected Works of Witness Lee, 1932–1949. These chapters cover topics related to release--freedom, salvation, the assurance of salvation, and the security of salvation. The third line--Maturing in Life--continues with chapters 7 and 8 of Reward and Punishment, which are in volume 3 of The Collected Works of Witness Lee, 1955. These chapters cover obtaining the reward and maturing in life to be raptured and receive the reward. The line then continues with chapters 1 and 2 of a new book, The Future of the Church, which are in volume 2 of The Collected Works of Witness Lee, 1955. These chapters cover the marriage dinner of the Lamb and the appearance of the kingdom of the heavens. The fourth line--The High Peak of the Divine Revelation--continues with chapters 6 through 9 of God's New Testament Economy, which are in volume 3 of The Collected Works of Witness Lee, 1984. These chapters cover the Son's sending of the Spirit and the Son's ascension and the baptism in the Spirit.

This section includes messages on Babylon and Jerusalem, becoming stones for God's building, Christ's divinity, and Christ's humanity. The second line--Words for New Believers--contains chapters 14 through 16 of The Crucial Revelation of Life in the Scriptures, which are in volume 2 of The Collected Works of Witness Lee, 1969, and chapter 1 of The Fulfillment of God's Purpose by the Growth of Christ in Us, which is in volume 1 of The Collected Works of Witness Lee, 1970. These chapters cover our being saved by life, the development of life, and God's intention for man to take Him as life. The third line--Maturing in Life--contains chapters 15 through 18 of Perfecting Training, which are in volume 1 of The Collected Works of Witness Lee, 1980. These chapters contain messages on living Christ by praying unceasingly, living Christ by the Word and the Spirit, living Christ by being filled with the Word, and living habitually versus living Christ. The fourth line--The High Peak of the Divine Revelation--contains chapters 12 through 15 of Crystallization-study of the Gospel of John, which are in volume 4 of The Collected Works of Witness Lee, 1994–1997. These chapters speak of the kingdom of God and the blood and water, the apostolic ministry in cooperation with Christ's heavenly ministry, the key to the Gospel of John, and the intrinsic significance of John 1 through 16.

This section includes messages concerning how to eat Christ as the choice portion of the harvest; eating Christ as the solid food; the harvest, the chosen place, and the release of the spirit; and captivity and recovery. The second line--Words for New Believers--contains chapters 10 through 13 of The Crucial Revelation of Life in the Scriptures, which are in volume 2 of The Collected Works of Witness Lee, 1969. These chapters cover the seed of life and the Spirit of life. The third line--Maturing in Life--contains chapters 11 through 14 of Perfecting Training, which are in volume 1 of The Collected Works of Witness Lee, 1980. These chapters contain messages on dealing with peculiarity, the lacking of living Christ for the building up of the Body, practicing to live Christ, and a habit to live Christ. The fourth line--The High Peak of the Divine Revelation--contains chapters 8 through 11 of Crystallization-study of the Gospel of John, which are in volume 4 of The Collected Works of Witness Lee, 1994–1997. These chapters speak of the consummated Spirit, the consummation of the complete salvation of Christ, the glorification of Christ by God with His glory, and the organism of the processed and consummated Triune God and the believers' oneness incorporated with the oneness of the Triune God.
