Newness Of Life

NEWNESS OF LIFE is a compilation of 101 meditations of the heart. The content is Biblical and the language is simple. These reflections are based on Scripture passages, that were originally written during the lockdown year 2020 through 2021 in random order, 365 in all. They were arranged thematically later. It was never meant to be published since it is a part of a personal prayer journal that the author later decided to share with others. Some of the topics include Repentance, Holiness, Faith, Divine Healing, Salvation, Praise, and God's Eternal Word. The Christian walk is not just terribly difficult, a path so rocky that many fall by the wayside, but it is downright impossible to achieve in our human strength. It is, however, simple and full of joy when we partner with "the Helper," the Holy Spirit who abides in us. The purpose of this book, therefore, is to address some of the doubts that haunt us and the lies of this world that cling to us from our past life. It is the Truth alone that sets us free and enables us to live as Jesus taught us. So NEWNESS OF LIFE is intended to encourage the Christian to walk by Faith and not by sight, on the narrow path, and in the victorious "New Life" that we have in Christ Jesus.

Dear Readers, you have authority over the powers of darkness that you have not yet unfolded and apprehended for yourself and therefore are not using. Well, not too long ago I discovered this truth for myself, so don't feel bad. As I searched the scriptures, I became cognizant of the power that I possess in Christ Jesus, our Lord and Savior. I had been defeated countless times, using the wrong means to try to overcome my defeats. I was being tossed to and fro by the enemy of my soul. It took me a long time to learn and acknowledge who I am and my purpose for being here on earth, but thanks be to God, He has given me the victory through Christ Jesus. In this book you will discover that no matter what you used to be, God can bring you back to where you should be in Christ Jesus, the Messiah, and use you for HIs glory in a mighty way. Like the Apostle Paul, no matter what your past life story has to tell or what sins you committed, your slate becomes completely clean when you come to know Jesus. Yes! You are made entirely brand new. God sees you just as if you had never sinned at all. Before he was named Paul, Saul was a persecutor of those who believed in Jesus as Messiah. One day, he experienced a miraculous conversion while on a road trip to Damascus to persecute some believers, as recorded in Acts 9:3, which transformed him into a man and his life into a ministry on fire for the Lord, because of God's grace and mercy towards him. You, too, can be transformed and begin walking in The Newness of Life and serving Him in the newness of the Holy Spirit. 1 Samuel 14:6 assures us that "... nothing restrains the LORD from saving by many or by few."

Walking in Newness of Life offers an insightful combination of the theology and spirituality of the Sacraments of Initiation in a most accessible way. The book explores the history and development of each of the three sacraments of Initiation: Baptism, Confirmation, and Eucharist, and draws upon the biblical foundations of each. It also finds a firm basis in the teaching of the Church mindful of the contemporary reader and the issues that confront the church today in practicing these three Rites of Initiation. Throughout the book are reflection questions useful for individual readers and discussion/study groups. Unique in its combination of theology with biblical background and spirituality, this book has been time tested in parish and college groups, who learned much and encouraged the author to turn it into a book.

This devotional book is designed for people to have a close relationship with Jesus Christ and to cause a spiritual awakening in the spirit man so the eyes of the heart will be opened to spiritual truths and to enlighten the reader of their spiritual identity and spiritual inheritance in the kingdom of God. The book also aims to give insight of God’s will, purpose, plan, and destiny for their life. It wishes to help people come into the knowledge of the truth about the gospel of Jesus, so they can walk in present truth and in the fullness, the shalom, the prosperity, the wisdom, the wholeness, the fruitfulness, and the abundance of the new life that Father God has given them through his Son Jesus Christ. It also hopes to flood the hearts of the reader with the light of God’s Word, so they can be rooted and grounded in love and his Word. It hopes to strengthen with might the inner man with the peace of Christ ruling in their hearts and in the unity of the bond of peace. It aims for the eyes of their understanding to be enlightened, so they will know what the hope of his calling for them is in the newness of life in him and to know the riches of God’s glory for them with the saints in light. May this help them live a life worthy of the Lord and please him in every way—bearing fruit in every good work, growing in the knowledge of God, and growing in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, being strengthened with all power according to his glorious might, favor, and grace.
