Humans consider themselves as not evolving anymore. The best and final versions of themselves. WE can look at the past and see that WE have evolved but always think that WE are now the best "We" we will ever be and no matter what the future holds, WE will never evolve again. Science can prove we are wrong and we are evolving still and we will evolve even more as time goes on. Right now we just don't want to admit it to ourselves.
