Our Life S Journey

Our Life is Love describes the transformational spiritual journey of the first Quakers, who turned to the Light of Christ within and allowed it to be their guide. Many Friends today use different language, but are still called to make the same journey. In our time people seeking deeper access to the profound teachings of Christianity want more than just beliefs, they want direct experience. Focusing on ten elements of the spiritual journey, this book is a guide to a Spirit-filled life that affects this world. Quakers in the seventeenth century and today provide examples of people and communities living in the midst of the world whose radical understanding of Christ's teachings led them to become powerful agents of social change. The book offers a simple, clear explanation of the spiritual journey that is suitable not only for Quakers, but for all Christians, and for seekers wanting to better understand our spiritual experience and the fullness of God's call to us. The book would make an excellent focus for study groups. Marcelle Martin has led workshops at retreat centers and Quaker meetings across the United States. She served for four years as the resident Quaker Studies teacher at Pendle Hill and was a core teacher in the School of the Spirit program, The Way of Ministry. She is the author of the Pendle Hill pamphlets Invitation to a Deeper Communion and Holding One Another in the Light. In 2013 she was the Mullen Writing Fellow at Earlham School of Religion while working on this book.

On ending up in a too familiar situation after years of emotional and physical pain, I began searching for answers as to why all these difficulties kept happening. It was at this life threatening time that I was first approached by the energy vibration of the four archangels. Due to the fact I had always seen spirits as physical people, I didn't believe the angels instructions, but after another very special visitation where they showed themselves to me -- which is no easy feat for them,-- I agreed to write their words; and that's how this book manifested. As I wrote, my life began to make sense, which now enables me to live with more awareness of what part I have to play in my soul's journey opening my eyes to wonderful new possibilities. When angels speak, do you listen? I did, and now you too can experience the higher healing knowledge of how your soul's journey affects your human existence, and how you can work with your soul to ease life's impact. So give yourself permission to engage with the timeless angelic knowledge that will enable you to encounter a freedom never felt or known before.

My book is meant to inspire others and touch lives of many; and I pray that it does just that. It is meant to help others live their lives happier, abundantly, fearless, and so much more. My book also is meant for everyone to understand what Huntington’s disease is, as well as depression, anxiety, narcissist, and so much more. It is about God, living in faith, and drawing closer to God. I pray that more people turn to God. Loving who you are is the most important thing we can learn to do. Living a bitterless life, knowing when to let go and your boundaries, learning that being weak is okay, and more are all good pointers found in my book. Living our life’s journey, I feel everyone can use encouragement about how to deal with life’s obstacles, heartache, heartbreak, and so much more. Your life’s journey lives inside my book. Using different experiences in my life's journey, I have shown how one can gain profound knowledge as he/she travels on life's journey and utilize knowledge gained to serve humanity. I give examples from my elementary school days; trade school; immigration to England, UK; marriage; education; immigration to the USA; being the CEO of my own business, a pastor, and a visionary who oversees the building of a beautiful church edifice to house God's people. It must be noted how God has been with me on this journey. I give examples of what God has enabled me to accomplish at every stage. My journey has extended far beyond what is written in this book, Life Is a Journey. This book is to motivate, empower, and propel others to excel beyond what their natural eyes can see. I do hope that by reading this book, it will be a beacon of light to everyone who reads it, especially those who are in dark despair, that they will emerge and share Life Is a Journey with families, friends or groups. This book shows that there should be no room in one's heart for giving up despite one's circumstances, but to aim for excellence, knowing that God wants the best for His children.

My book is about a woman with many emotional traumas about the lost of her children from a previous marriage, the death of her father, and in the process of a divorce from her husband of twelve years. He travels extensively for his job and she finds herself alone in a foreign country as an expat must of the time. As a consequence of the distance, they experience emotional detachment and lack of communication. He made excuses not to attend her father's funeral which deeply hurt her feelings, and brought much anger into her life. She was unable to be present when her father passed on while living in Dubai, which made her feel quilt and anger; she then settles all the emotions by connecting to herself and returning to her passion for writing. After twelve years of marriage, she felt that something was missing in her life and she had to find it. When they finally get divorced, she begins to explore all of her talents, painting, writing, dancing and traveling. Despite all her efforts to move on after her divorce, she finds herself stock in Dubai without much hope and friends to relay on. She returns to the US where she meets an Italian man who reminded her of her ex-husband. In her relationship with him, she finds that he is the perfect image of her ex-husband. She felt as if the spirit of her ex-husband has return to hunt her as a ghost. During her meditation, she can see the image of the man from India she so much admire not knowing that this feelings she is experiencing is nothing more than the ghost of her ex-husband. One day, she seeks out to continue her dream of publishing a book about the power of the mind were she finds the courage to succeed and move on with her life. She leaves the past behind her and finds true love. Today, Leilani is sixty five years old, and has published five books and continues her creative passion for writing.
