Most of the stories in this collection depict women battling for their existence. These stories narrate the story of a woman’s modesty through a sari and indicate how a woman faces abuse and is neglected at every stage in life. If she wants to progress honorably; men at every stage are eager to exploit her. Even courts do not offer full justice and she finds herself a lone fighter in entire struggle. The book is merely an effort to reveal the deep rooted void and a complicated and double faced mindset of ours.
