The noun of this word crescendo speaks of the loudest point reached in a gradually increasing sound. It also speaks of the highest point reached in a progressive increase of intensity. The verb speaks of an increase in loudness or intensity, such as the “reluctant cheers began to crescendo". We are in a spiritual season that is reaching such a crescendo. Several years ago the Lord first spoke about how we are heading into a “season”, therefore, a period of time not determined in length, during which things will get very “intense”. It means that as we consider the word “crescendo”, we are right now in a time where the hostility against God is reaching a very intense stage, and such intensity has progressively increased over the years. It will be a season of great spiritual warfare, where many people will struggle to remain standing. So intense is the hostility and the onslaught, that many believers will actually fall away if they are not found to be settled upon the Rock of Jesus. It is a time of quickening what the Lord is doing, but also a time of a quickening regarding the devil’s work. In such stormy and intense times, we need to learn how to thrive, still make an impact for Christ and fulfil the Great commission. Memoirs from a Stormy Passage shares the story of author Mandy Innis's life with her son, Storm, describing a passage of her life that brought great pain but also great joy. After years of wanting a child and three failed in vitro fertilization attempts, she managed to naturally conceive and give birth to a son. After three precious months of happiness at the long-anticipated gift of Storm, Mandy and her husband faced devastating heartbreak when they learned their son was blind. But before she could adjust to her son's blindness, more medical conditions were diagnosed, all in the midst of their disintegrating marriage. Even so, Mandy didn't allow herself to wallow in self-pity, as her maternal instincts demanded that she step up to the challenge of doing what was best for her son. An inner knowledge told her there would be worse to come, and her son would need as much help as she could give. Storm was blind, the only word he could say was mum, and he couldn't walk unaided because his legs were failing him. This is a comparison of; unjust laws suffered by my Great-grand parents, grandparents, and parents, the unfair treatments they suffered during their lives, what I experienced in my life from the early 1940s through today, the progress made in this nation after the Civil Rights movement and where we are today. I have used actual events, excerpts from my novel, Saying Sorry Won´t Stop the Pain, to give a view of the unjust laws, the prejudice, bullying, and unfair treatment endured by my grandparents and great-grand parents and unfair treatment I faced while growing-up and are still facing today. I hope these experiences with unfair treatment, and coping with prejudices and bigotry, will be helpful and motivational to anyone who have, or may encounter similar situations. Stay in school. Don´t quit your job. Don´t give up because someone is trying to make your life as miserable as theirs and to make themselves feel like they are worth something. Lastly, I hope this book motivates those living in America, or other countries, which may happen to read it, to work together for the rights of all people everywhere.
