Written by a classroom teacher, this book provides an instructional approach to teaching students the structures of expository text in Grades 3?8. Using graphic organizers to visually depict the structures, the author takes a close look at seven patterns or structures: sequence, enumerative, compare/contrast, cause/effect and problem/solution, description, and question/answer.
