Excerpt from The Army Officer's Examiner: Containing Questions and Answers on All Subjects Prescribed for an Officer's Examination, Together With Rules to Guide Boards of Examination The object of this work is to equalize the examinations of officers by boards and to relieve the War Department of the trouble of preparing sample questions, each subject being exhausted with questions and fair approximate answers given to each, furnishing thereby a guide to both boards and candidates, as well as data to refresh their memories for those who have passed the periods of examination. It will be found to be an invaluable aid to officers of the National Guard in the pursuit of knowledge in the military service.
