This engagingly written and stunning visual celebration brings readers closer to our savior and explores what's fact, and what's mostly fiction about Jesus Christ. The story of Jesus' birth is one of ancient prophecies, glorious angels, simple shepherds, mysterious kings, a humble and righteous young couple, and a baby who would come to be known as the Savior, the Son of God, the Prince of Peace. Drawing from the Gospels of Matthew and Luke, the reader is swept into the world of Roman occupied Galilee two thousand years ago, and discovers why Mary and Joseph had to journey to Bethlehem, even while expecting a baby. Commonly held myths about the Nativity are dispelled, and fascinating insights into Mary, everyday life in Jesus’ time, and angels are woven throughout. This book draws readers into a time, a place, and a life that would forever change the world.

In December 1945, two Egyptian fellahin, digging for natural fertilizer in the Nile River valley unearthed a sealed storage jar. The jar proved to hold treasure of an unexpected sort: a collection of some fifty-two ancient manuscripts, most of which reflect the teachings of a mystical religious movement we call Gnosticism (from the Greek word gnosis, "knowledge"). The texts are also, with few exceptions, Christian documents, and thus they provide us with valuable new information about the character of the early church, and about the Gnostic Christians within the church. In this volume, Marvin W. Meyer has produced a new English translation for general readers of four of the most important and revealing of these early Christian texts -- the Secret Book of James, the Gospel of Thomas, the Book of Thomas, and the Secret Book of John.

My fictional biography of Jesus is designed to introduce readers to the forgotten world of Jewish Messianic, Kabbalistic, prophetic, wisdom, and Merkabah mysticism that was known to the Jewish disciples of Yeshua, but completely lost to emerging gentile Christianity. It provides a simple, non-academic way for readers to understand what only profound academic study can reveal, and illuminates the authentic historical teachings and probable spiritual practices of the Master Yeshua

A fresh translation of previously unknown or little known sayings of Jesus, drawn from a rich array of ancient sources. Marvin Meyer's Definitive Translation of the Gospel of Thomas revealed to a delighted readership profound and provocative sayings of Jesus that are now considered authentic. In this intriguing new collection, he goes beyond the Gospel of Thomas and the New Testament to cull the most significant sayings of Jesus from all the texts of the ancient world -- Christian and non-Christian.Jesus stories and traditions spread far and wide over the first centuries of Christianity and appear in fragments in Islamic hadith and Gnostic texts. Here Meyer draws from these and other sources, including the fragmentary Gnostic Gospel just discovered in Berlin. He presents wise and important sayings of Jesus that are very early and true to Jesus' teachings. From the absorbing introduction and explanatory notes that put the sayings into perspective, to the compelling selection and original translation, this beautifully packaged book will have broad appeal to all those who love the Gospel of Thomas and the Gospels of the New Testament.

The Jesus Secret is the first fiction book written by Dr. Robert Siblerud based on his nonfiction book The Unknown Life of Jesus. It is a historical novel about the life of Jesus. It is an exciting adventure of two college professors, Carl Iverson and Katherine Ralston, searching for the truth of what really happened to Jesus. Dr. Iverson had received an ancient manuscript written in Aramaic at the time of Jesus, discovered in Israel. The manuscript described Jesus's life after the crucifixion, giving evidence that he survived the crucifixion. (An actual manuscript was found called the Talmud of Immanuel.) The book provides the evidence that Jesus lived out his life in Kashmir and had a family. The excitement comes when powers of the church try to prevent Carl and Katherine from finding the truth. The Jesus Secret describes the lost years of Jesus, how he survived the crucifixion, his family, a background on how the church was established, and the corruption within the church to hide the truth. The final chapters describe what may happen if the truth is discovered. After reading the book, the reader will have a better understanding, respect, and love for Jesus, the most evolved soul ever to help guide humanity on their spiritual journey.
