"The Heavenly Man" tells the true story of Liu Zhenying, also known as Brother Yun, who, for the past 30 years, has committed himself to bringing the gospel of Christ to all of China. Imprisoned, tortured, and separated from his family for his beliefs, Brother Yun shares his story.

This is the intensely dramatic story of how God took a young, half-starved boy from a poor village in Henan Province and used him mightily to preach the gospel, despite horrific opposition. Brother Yun is one of China's house church leaders, a man who despite his relative youth has suffered prolonged torture and imprisonment for his faith. Instead of focusing on the many miracles or experiences of suffering, however, Yun prefers to emphasise the character and beauty of Jesus. The Heavenly Man has been a publishing phenomenon. At least 350,000 have been sold in the Monarch edition alone. We are still printing in three locations worldwide to keep up with demand. At least 200,000 in Korean. 30 other languages to date. The book has provoked furious debate. To reach a different audience we have commissioned a graphic version from the same studio as produced "The Lion Graphic Bible". Artwork is being drawn and inked by Chinese illustrators to keep the idiom authentic. The book will be published in black and white as this was felt to be more in keeping with subject and likely market. We have opted for the same format as "The Lion Graphic Bible".
