Please note: This is a companion version & not the original book. Sample Book Insights: #1 Content marketing is a demanding craft that requires constant attention to detail. It was difficult for Dan to balance it with the demands of managing a growing business and personal brand. That’s where I came in. #2 I had to learn how to write for an audience of thousands of entrepreneurs, marketers, startup founders, and other ridiculously talented people. I had never worked remotely before, and found it difficult to communicate with my team using tools like Slack and Trello. #3 I had produced a few good articles, but I was nowhere near hitting the publishing goals. I was frustrated, exhausted, and terrified to open my computer each morning. I had begun to doubt if content marketing was something I would ever be good at. #4 I began working on the blog’s standard operating procedures and documents, and then tailored them to meet my needs and reflect my understanding of the expectations for the blog. Before I began working on them, these documents were incomplete and vague.

Fairy tales tell us the stories we need to hear, the truths we need to be aware of. Arising from oral narrative, born of imagination, they are constantly being adapted to fit new cultural contexts. They shapeshift just like their characters. Their plots, motifs, and elements often serving as warnings. Over the Rainbow: Folk and Fairy Tales from the Margins is a collection of adult stories that invite us to imagine new possibilities for our contemporary times. And much is happening in these times Cultural diversification and increased societal awareness of personal differences is allowing voices that tend to be silenced by mainstream society to come to the forefront. Collected by seven-time Prix Aurora Award-winning editor Derek Newman-Stille, these are edgy stories, tales that invite us to walk out of our comfort zone and see what resides at the margins. Over the Rainbow is a gathering of modern literature that brings together views and perspectives of the underrepresented, from the fringe, those whose narratives are at the core of today's conversations--voices that we all need to hear.

Interactive Digital Storytelling has evolved as a prospering research topic banding together formerly disjointed disciplines stemming from the arts and humanities as well as computer science. It’s tied up with the notion of storytelling as an effective means for the communication of knowledge and social values since the existence of humankind. It also builds a bridge between current academic trends investigating and formalizing computer games, and developments towards the experience-based design of human-media interaction in general. In Darmstadt, a first national workshop on Digital Storytelling was organized by ZGDV e.V. in 2000, which at that time gave an impression about the breadth of this new research field for computer graphics (DISTEL 2000). An international follow-up was planned: the 1st International Conference on Technologies for Interactive Digital Storytelling and Entertainment (TIDSE 2003). Taking place in March 2003, it showed a more focussed range of research specifically on concepts and first pro- types for automated storytelling and autonomous characters, including modelling of emotions and the user experience. At TIDSE 2004, an established and still-growing community of researchers ga- ered together to exchange results and visions. This confirms the construction of a series of European conferences on the topic – together with the International Conf- ence on Virtual Storytelling, ICVS (conducted in 2001 and 2003 in France) – which will be further cultivated.
