Apartamento is widely recognized as today's most influential interiors magazine. International, well-designed, and simply written since 2008, it is an indispensable resource for individuals who are passionate about the way they live. Apartamento breaks the traditional magazine boundaries that separate home design from homeowner, and offers readers a glimpse inside the lived-in, often cluttered homes of celebrities and industry legends such as REM frontman Michael Stipe and indie screen queen Chlo Sevigny. The World of Apartamento is a celebration of the magazine's 10th anniversary and features the best and most inspirational interiors from the publication's pages. Like the magazine itself, the book is a carefully developed editorial mix--high-quality writing and beautiful photography--that communicates genuine stories and intimate moments. With more than 300 photographs and an eclectic mix of subjects like Fran ois Halard, Yorgos Lanthimos, Ezra Koenig, Paz de la Huerta, and more, the book is an inspiring look at individual design choices.

Nathalie Du Pasquier started drawing as soon as she met her husband George Sowden in 1979 in Milan. She was introduced to the world of design and shortly after, in 1981, became a founding member of the iconic postmodern design movement Memphis. From 1981 to 1987 she didn't stop drawing. Every day she would draw a whole new modern world, from very small items like jewelry to entire cities. This world only existed in her head but would eventually be developed into real pieces for the Memphis exhibitions. This unique book is the first and definitive compilation of all the unpublished drawings from those years, which had been sitting in the drawers of Nathalie's studio for over 30 years. Organized by the smallest objects to the biggest and divided into chapters, each with a text by Nathalie, it has been carefully edited and designed by Apartamento magazine's co-founder Omar Sosa together with Nathalie Du Pasquier. Don't Take These Drawings Seriously is an excellent reference for future generations and a welcome document of an important period in modern design.

New York magazine’s interiors editor shares some of her most memorable house profiles in this stunning and inspiring visual tour. For May I Come In?, design editor extraordinaire Wendy Goodman visits seventy homes that express their owners’ spirit and passions. In this pantheon, imagination and originality hold sway: Artists and eccentrics are the equals of aristocrats and the mandarins of design. Alba Clemente’s closet is a Renaissance theater; Amy Sedaris built a playroom (but not for children); Andrew Solomon houses his guests in an igloo; Richard Avedon’s private walls were bulletin boards; Kathy Ruttenberg’s house is an animal kingdom; Jay Maisel called a former bank with seventy-two rooms home. Every room has a story to tell and a purpose for being. A self-described design hunter, Goodman spent thirty years seeking extraordinary living spaces. In her long career, she has found three things to be true. The first is that curiosity and never giving up will get you everywhere. The second is what Diana Vreeland stated best when she wrote, “Few things are more fascinating than the opportunity to see how other people live during private hours.” The third is that houses never lie. These principles underscore her search for individuality, human interest, and authenticity in design. May I Come In? is profusely illustrated with superb images by leading interior photographers, as well as Goodman’s own snapshots and memorabilia related to her quests. It is an irresistible visual record of the art of living by one of its most astute observers. “Page after page reveals interiors that practically vibrate with charisma, while others wax a poetic minimalism that, despite a lack of things, overwhelm with grace.” —Vogue “When it comes to the New York design scene, Wendy Goodman is positively an institution.” —Town & Country

Praxis, Agustín Hernández' is the fourth book in a series devoted to some of our favourite architects, the houses they build, and the stories behind them.0Born in 1924, Agusti?n Herna?ndez came of age as an architect in Mexico as modernist ideas coalesced with a renewed pride in the country?s past. He was a frontrunner in combining the symbols, myths, and urban planning principles of pre-Columbian civilisations to create imposing architectural monuments that even today retain their avant-garde nature?from the military academy he built as a modern-day Mayan ceremonial ground to the remote meditation centre commissioned by his sister, based on the symbolism of the snake, and the studio-home that he built for himself in 1975: Praxis, a geometric treehouse that still towers over the Bosques de las Lomas neighbourhood of Mexico City. Original photography by Ryan Lowry.
