Troyuan Chronicles

From my father, who I remember as a faded dream, I was given his stamina and the will not to give in. From my mother, who took up the burden after my father left the world, gave me the love and deep feelings I will draw upon when faced with an emotional crises. From my brother, whose scheming and jealousy never ceased, gave me a higher sense of competition that made me better than the lazy peasants. From my fun loving friends, who have all gone their separate ways, gave me that variety of companionship and the honesty amongst blood brothers that shall never perish. From my God, who is unique from within and without, the desire to seek and use the wisdom of her blessed and holy words. From my adopted father, who took a dangerous chance one early morning, gave me a new life and opened the door to the stars. These things I now know are the foundation stones of my life, a life that continues to unfold with each chapter I am forced to experience.

A stark wildness, hidden and frightening, permeates the fabric of peaceful space. God’s harmony is lost as greed and lust cascades from the lower social depths. Grasping and corrupting, a spineless black hand stretches engulfing all, a sinister specter no one can fight or oppose. But, be not lost, there is hope even in such rising scum. As we ponder through the ages embedded in the decaying Imperial Archives, my wife and I discover the cache of data crystals. Once lost, or forgotten, buried within the ruins of the Capital Areas infrastructure, we now bring to light the sagas of a lost world. Such wondrous times are embodied within, we sing of a freshness never felt! Of a remarkable Young Man, Alack Troyus and his mission to fight crime and injustice from the Special Services. His adventures span the entire length and depth of an age long ago, forgotten. Fighting the evils of a brave new Empire, a true hero we of these dreary days only dream about in a childs apprehension. Since the death of my fighter my career has taken a new turn. The young humanoid I acquired has opened new profit ventures. His name is Thracian, ‘that which fights’ in Lolobian. As long as he performs and makes money I’m happy. Practicing makes him an expert killer, and he has only to touch a weapon and knows how to use it. Physically he is a terrible foe to stand against. I pity the dumb aliens and low gutter humans we are going up against. Thracian will chop them up and swallow them whole. I estimate his metabolism burns three times the humanoid norm, making him deadly in speed and strength. He is a born killer, capable of dismembering you piece by piece, and yet, he gets mad if you call him a butcher. But, there’s this soft side which might cause problems in the future...

Grasped from the security of his familiar surroundings, Alack Troyus must seek and bring to justice a criminal mastermind. A long agonizing journey to the farthest darkest remotest corner of the Amazian Imperium he must go. At the very precipice of civilization, a naked agent of justice, he finds his prey on an obscured planet of toxic gases, molten stone and stark terror lurking in every deathly shadow.
