This is my intro to the world of art. I’m a strong believer that any form of poetry, is artwork at its best. On every one of these pages you’ll find a different story, a different feeling, and a different lesson. You’ll find happiness, and strength, love and hate, as well as sadness and failure. During my creative process, I’ve found writing to be a tool in which allows us to be anyone, think anything, and feel as deeply as you wish with no limitations. I only hope that each person has a chance to experience the depths that writing can take you. I would like to thank all the people that I’ve spoken with who shared their stories with me. I would also like to extend that thank you to the people who sat down and gave me some words of advice. I appreciate your support and I appreciate all the lessons. I love the entire human race and hope you can enjoy these poems created from many different experiences throughout this lifetime.

Differently Abled is about a girl with Down's Syndrome who is discouraged by her disability because she feels like she doesn't fit in, and has no friends because of it. However, Sierra refuses to let her disability discourage her from overcoming life's challenges and is determined to be included. When Sierra voiced her opinion, others realized that being different doesn't mean you can't do something. Everyone learned that extending kindness, patience, and acceptance is the key to humanity.

This inspirational letter is a letter I wrote while in detox. The letter is allegorical. The letter is a breakup letter to my DOC (drug of choice). Our DOC as an addict become very much like a relationship where we depend on our addiction as if it was a person. We become emotionally and physically dependent on our DOC and this is a letter written about breaking up that relationship. As addicts many of us carry history from our past that still has not been dealt with which leads to addiction to suppress our pain and suffering. This is the letter that ends this addictive relationship.
