More often than not, Clint Mason has his foot firmly wedged in his mouth, which tends to get him in plenty of hot water with the ladies. Although his laid back good ole’ Southern charm does not fly far with the female population of Cedar Tree, the big burly contractor hides his dark side well. The only one Beth Franklin allows herself to rely on is Beth, and so far that has served her well. Just when her son disappears after dropping his little guy off on her doorstep, her life seems to spiral out of control. For the first time ever, fearing for his safety, the fiercely independent waitress is forced to be on the receiving end of a helping hand. That’s not easy for her, especially since the shovel-sized hand belongs to a man whose approach has run hot and cold the last year, leaving her feeling off balance. With a steady and commanding force, he exposes her softer side, while doing everything he can to keep her and those close to her safe.

Although negotiations are an ever-present part of our everyday lives, many of us know little as to why we sometimes get our way, while on other occasions we walk away feeling frustrated that we did not reach the desired agreement or we may have left too much value on the table. Knowing how to gain the upper hand to get what is necessary from a negotiation is particularly important when the stakes are high, especially in a situation where a negotiator feels the options and choices are limited yet something must be achieved. A negotiation can cause a lot of stress, making the stakes even higher and the negotiation dynamics more difficult to manage. New communication technologies play an increasingly important role in day-to-day negotiations. It is important to be aware of these situations in order to know what works (and what does not work) and how to maximize the outcome in such negotiation situations. The contributions in this book - as well as the exclusive interview with Chris Voss, an international business negotiator - capture the key concepts and the most important learning points on how to gain the upper hand in high stake negotiations. The book deals in a concise way with proven tools, such as recognizing escalation mechanisms and the techniques on how to de-escalate or deal with emotions. Readers will gain access to crucial insights from professionals, like the FBI or US army negotiators, who are experienced in negotiating under extreme pressure in situations where lives are literally on the line. The book covers newer developments, such as involving a deal facilitator and conducting e-negotiations. The book also includes an example of role-playing a negotiation in a conflict situation, where the stakes are high and a lot of emotions are present on both sides of the table.

Opening preparation is useful, but understanding the middlegame is much more important. This book, an improved edition of a Russian classic, teaches amateur chess players 45 extremely effective skills in a crystal-clear manner. Quite a few of the ideas presented here will surprise the reader, because they offer solutions for problems the club player is only subconsciously aware. How do you activate your rook pawn? How do you prevent your opponent from opening a file? How do you restrict the efficacy of your opponents pieces? Which rook belongs on the c-, d- or e-file? What is the best way to exchange a piece? How do you castle artificially? In most cases the techniques are easy to understand and memorize. Bronznik and Terekhin do not burden the reader with deep analysis and only present those variations that are really necessary to get the point. There is a special training section at the end of the book where you can test your skills.

I have written many books and articles on various topics but since 2013, I have devoted myself fully in writing the interpretation of the Holy Quran in English and with the grace of Allah, I have completed the whole Quran on 29th October 2020 with 84 books. I believe there is a great need in the whole world for the correct interpretation of the Holy Quran to be written in English. Currently, there is a great misunderstanding about Islam among Muslims and non-Muslims globally. The misunderstanding of the meaning of the Holy Quran among Muslims will lead to the wrong practice of Islam which leads to the wrong actions of Muslims. The wrong actions of Muslims will lead to misunderstandings about Islam among Muslims and non-Muslims. The wrong actions of the Muslims have led to many miseries and wars among Muslims. The wrong actions of Muslims have also led to many wars and clashes between Muslims and non-Muslims. In order to avoid miseries, wars and clashes from taking place between the whole mankind in the whole world, the whole mankind in the whole world need to understand the true teaching of Islam. There is no other way for the whole mankind to understand the true teaching of Islam unless the whole mankind is able to read and understand the correct interpretation of the Holy Quran. The whole mankind is only able to read and understand the correct interpretation of the Holy Quran when it is written in the universal language of the world (English). For this very reason I have written the interpretation of the Holy Quran in English. Prof. Nasoha Bin Saabin
