God had a specific reason when he formed us to be individuals, unique creations that each fulfill a special purpose. Everything we are, have been, and will be is all part of a grand plan of God's love. Everything helps to shape us into the people God wants us to be and where we find our inner satisfaction, joy, and meaning.

Everything we are, have been, and will be is all part of a grand plan of God's love. Everything helps to shape us into the people God wants us to be and where we find our inner satisfaction, joy, and meaning.

Ariana through her childhood, and maturing through her teens, until she married, was the product of two controlling parents, who loved through discipline and molding their children, into who they wanted them to be, leaving no room for individuality. As she matures, she fights her way through obstacles, coming to terms with who she is and what her purpose is in the vast canvas of her life. That journey cost her in both sad and wonderful ways. She longs to discover who she is and where in life she needs to be.

My poetry book is comprised of spiritual and nonspiritual poems. I consider it to be two books in one. I do believe that there is something in my book for everyone. The spiritual poems can be used to praise the Lord and develop ones trust in the Lord, and its about praising and giving thanks to the Lord. Its spiritually uplifting. I strongly believe I have been called by God to do his work and that it may be through poetry. The nonspiritual poems consist mostly of free-style poetry, and one can read and feel the passion in them. I welcome everyone to read my book of poetry.

Many of us have embraced something or even someone and put them or it in the place of our identity. We compare ourselves to others based on accomplishments and money. It’s easy to place identity on labels, external approval, and material objects. However, objects have never said, “I will never leave you, nor forsake you.” Try On Your Own Shoes is intended to help you find out who you are so that instead of living a life of comparison, you can be secure in your identity. Your identity lies in Christ. We don’t have to place our self value by what we have. We don’t have to measure our worth according to anything but God and his word. It is time to set your eyes on discovering who you truly are. Focus on what the word of God says about you and not on people’s opinions. Always remember that you were made in the image of God. Your potential is in Him, and it’s time to discover the real you.

But all the kids are wearing them! Any child who has ever craved something out of reach will relate to this warm, refreshingly realistic story. Features an audio read-along. "I have dreams about those shoes. Black high-tops. Two white stripes." All Jeremy wants is a pair of those shoes, the ones everyone at school seems to be wearing. But Jeremy’s grandma tells him they don’t have room for "want," just "need," and what Jeremy needs are new boots for winter. When Jeremy’s shoes fall apart at school, and the guidance counselor gives him a hand-me-down pair, the boy is more determined than ever to have those shoes, even a thrift-shop pair that are much too small. But sore feet aren’t much fun, and Jeremy comes to realize that the things he has -- warm boots, a loving grandma, and the chance to help a friend -- are worth more than the things he wants.

About the Book This novel will cause you to walk away with a more positive attitude and a better outlook on life. About the Author Michael is wrapped around his family, (Matthew, Shelly, and his wife Gerry). His desire is to help others have a better outlook on life. And no matter where you start in life, there is always light at the end of the tunnel.
