White Roses is of a collection of creative works written by Dr. McCaa over a period of years for the glorification of the Lord. The poems are original except for the entries made by Mr. Booker T. Myles, Jr. and Kyah and Krystyanna (brother and granddaughters) who have given her permission to include their created works in this book. The title of the book, White Roses came to her after seeking God for a title. For some, white roses symbolize the death of a love one. But God revealed to her that it was not a sorrowful remembrance of loved ones. With her love for arranged white roses and the guidance of her Lord, the title of the book became a reality. The writer indicates that the remembrance of loved ones should not be just set for a particular day. This book is in remembrance of all the loved ones who have gone on to be with the Lord. The written Words of our Savior add meaning to why we still have hope in a world that is plagued with selfishness and greed. White Roses lead us to a quiet place of harmony. It is the author’s desire that each page brings the reader closer to our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Mrs. McCaa would love to have comments sent to her via email about this book. This book as well as her first book, Poems of Inspiration (and future books) will continue to help support her scholarship fund that was started over fifteen years ago. That is, the Jones, Jones, Vidal and Durham Book scholarship Fund. This fund is in memory of the Jones family, (her mother’s family), one of the best musicians that ever lived, her adopted brother and college friend, Audrey Jones; her big Italian/black adopted brother, and also outstanding musician and college friend, Miguel Vidal; and her daughter’s best friend Cortez Durham, who was like a son. Cortez was serving in the armed forces when his Black Hawk helicopter crashed. Your purchase of this book will help students with the purchase of books while in college. This book is the continuing love story of Bethany and Alessandro Rodrigos, who were introduced in my first novel, Mistaken Obsession. Their Hotel Aria in Buenos Aires is successful, and when Sandros sister Ana Dumont and her children are forced to leave Paris and join her brother in her native Argentina, Ana organizes a singing show in the beautiful hotel ballroom once a month, with the families of the Dumonts and the Rodrigos taking part, to earn some money for her daily expenses. All the family members have talents, which are enjoyed by the audiences, and the shows are very popular. Ana and the children return to Paris at the invitation of her former modelling agency, and she looks forward to a reunion with her husband, Pierre. Ana is lauded by her previous employers, but it is proven once again that it is not safe for Tamara in France when she is attacked on stage by the son of her previous attacker. They go back to Buenos Aires to their life without their father, Pierre Dumont, who remains in France to continue his medical career and working for the anti-terrorist group he had been working with prior to his abduction in Syria. Sandro and his family love to visit the ranch as often as they are able to. The ranch has been passed down to the eldest son for generations. It is wonderful for them as an escape from the stresses of the city. However, visits to the ranch, which are usually so peaceful, are interrupted by uninvited gueststhe first is an illegal attempt to take cattle from the property, and Sandro is shot by one of the intruders, which causes great stress for the family. Subsequent events eventually lead up to a greater tragedy, which affects them all, and life will never be the same again.

A collection of short stories by an acclaimed contemporary Greek writer, reminiscent of Lydia Davis and Jenny Offill This collection assembles sixteen of Maria Mitsora's short stories in what adds up to be a retrospective of the author's work, spanning forty years. Moving across the urban netherworld of Athens to imagined Latin American towns and science-fiction dystopias, Mitsora animates the alternatingly dark and revelatory aspects of the human psyche, depicting a world in which her protagonists are caught between reality and myth, predestination and chance, rationality and twisted dreams. Mitsora led a generation of writers whose work articulated major transitions in the Greek literary scene, from 1970s historical and political sensibilities shaped in response to the military Junta to a contemporary focus on a fragmented, multicultural world. Her consistent experimentation with the short story form--a dominant genre in Greek prose writing since the nineteenth century--ranges from psychologically dark, surrealist work to more recent reflective and poetic writings.

“White Roses, Red Petals” is a take on the mental trauma, suffering and relationship dynamics in the controversial life of ever-so eclectic business magnate Saanjh. As Danyal reminisces about his indelible time spent with Saanjh, who is well-set in her own ways, he realizes that she’s much more than what is seen on the surface. Dismally, she comes with baggage of her own that seems to get heavier and heavier with each footstep of hers. It turns out that after all those years of knowing (and not to forget loving) her, she is still a mystery to Danyal. He finds himself amidst a melancholy and passionate love song. As she treads her way through, finally shedding the remains of mental trauma and sufferings of the past, she finds herself amidst another tragic tale. The way in which her fantasy comes into being is something that bashes her in the pit of overwhelming guilt. Something grim, really grim, happens which quakes her world upside down and all the lost puzzle pieces start falling into hollow spaces. Yes, Saanjh did manage to break the glass ceiling like she always wanted, but at what cost? Money can surely buy material things, but can it buy the invaluable time that is allotted to you in this world? Will Saanjh ever forgive herself for being the sole cause behind that damned day? Will she ever be able to wipe that overwhelming guilt out of her soul?
