I was inspired to write this book when my youngest son was just five years old and struggling to learn how to brush his teeth properly; I began writing the prose at that time. But the idea got shelved when life simply got in the way of writing, until recently now sixteen years later, as I watch my grandson struggle in the same way with this ever-so delicate task, I am encouraged once again to proceed with publication of this simple yet thorough instruction manual for children to learn proper brushing techniques; so I pulled together my prior drafts and began drawing the illustrations. The boy in the story looks a little like my grandson, Kevin, who does a fairly good job with brushing but needs help with technique. Written in rhyme to enhance memorization of the tooth-brushing process, it is my hope that this book will help thousands of young children learn how to better take care of their teeth for a lifetime.
