W'hile it assumes the previous discipline and mental maturity usually corresponding to the latter years Of'lthe college course, it does not demand the peculiar mathematical training and aptitude necessary as the basis of a special course in the science - only the most ele mentary knowledge of Algebra, Geometry, and Trigonometry is required for its reading.
