The Collected Works of Witness Lee, 1991-1992, volume 3, contains messages given by Brother Witness Lee from March 9, 1992, through April 19, 1993. Brother Lee ministered in Anaheim, California, from the beginning of 1992 until the end of the third week in May 1992. From there he traveled to Irving, Texas, for the Memorial Day weekend conference. He returned to Anaheim and remained there until the beginning of September, at which time he visited Seattle, Washington, for a weekend conference. He then returned to Anaheim and remained there until the end of the third week in November. During the last week in November he traveled to in Atlanta, Georgia, for the Thanksgiving weekend conference, after which he returned to Anaheim and remained there until early September 1993. The contents of this volume are divided into eleven sections, as follows: 1. Thirteen messages given in Anaheim, California, on March 9 through September 22, 1992. The Collected Works of Witness Lee, 1991-1992, volume 1, contains messages given by Brother Witness Lee from January 3 through December 17, 1991. In 1991 and 1992 Brother Lee spoke one hundred sixty-two messages that were published in the Life-study of Job, Life-study of the Psalms, Life-study of Isaiah, Life-study of Jeremiah, Life-study of Lamentations, Life-study of Daniel, Life-study of Hosea, Life-study of Joel, Life-study of Amos, Life-study of Obadiah, Life-study of Jonah, Life-study of Micah, Life-study of Nahum, Life-study of Habakkuk, Life-study of Zephaniah, Life-study of Haggai, Life-study of Zechariah, and Life-study of Malachi. These messages are not included in The Collected Works of Witness Lee. From January through August 1991, Brother Lee was in Anaheim, California. During that period he visited Los Angeles and Alhambra, California, in April. At the end of August he traveled to Berkeley, California. In early September he returned to Anaheim and remained there until the end of November. During that time he visited Huntington Beach, California. At the end of November Brother Lee traveled to Reston, Virginia, for the Thanksgiving weekend conference. In early December he returned to Anaheim and remained there until the end of the year. The contents of this volume are divided into ten sections, as follows: 1. Two messages given in Anaheim, California, on January 3 and 4. These messages were previously published in a book entitled The God-ordained Way and the Eldership. They are included in The Collected Works of Witness Lee, 1989, volume 4, as chapters 9 and 10 of Elders' Training, Book 10: The Eldership and the God-ordained Way (2). Therefore, they are not printed in this volume. 2. Seven messages given to the full-time trainees in Anaheim, California, on February 4 through December 17. These messages are included in this volume under the title Fellowship to the Full-time Trainees in Anaheim. 3. Thirty-one messages given in Anaheim, California, on February 17 through December 15. One message was spoken in Chinese. These messages are included in this volume under the title Various Meetings in Anaheim. 4. The Collected Works of Witness Lee, 1991-1992, volume 4, contains messages given by Brother Witness Lee from August 19, 1992, through March 20, 1993. After the Memorial Day weekend conference at the end of May 1992, Brother Lee returned to Anaheim, California, and remained there until the beginning of September, at which time he visited Seattle, Washington, for a weekend conference. He then returned to Anaheim and remained there until the end of the third week in November. The contents of this volume are divided into four sections, as follows: 1. Two messages given in Shanghai, China, in 1949. These messages were previously published, along with seven messages given by Watchman Nee, in a book entitled The New Covenant and are included in this volume under the same title. Only the two messages given by Brother Lee are included in this section. 2. Sixteen messages given in Taipei, Taiwan, in 1949. These messages were previously published in a book entitled Crucial Truths in the Holy Scriptures, volume 1, and are included in this volume under the same title. 3. Ten messages given in Taipei, Taiwan, in 1949. These messages were previously published in a book entitled Crucial Truths in the Holy Scriptures, volume 2, and are included in this volume under the same title. 4. Seven messages given in Taipei, Taiwan, in 1949. These messages were previously published in a book entitled Crucial Truths in the Holy Scriptures, volume 3, and are included in this volume under the same title.

The Collected Works of Witness Lee, 1970, volume 3, contains messages given by Brother Witness Lee from October 18 through December 1970. From the middle of October until the end of the year, Brother Lee was in Hong Kong and Taiwan. The contents of this volume are divided into eight sections, as follows: 1. Twenty-four messages given in Hong Kong in October and November. These messages were edited from audio recordings together with the notes taken by Brother K. H. Weigh and were previously published in Chinese as a book entitled The Church Life in Spirit and Truthfulness. They are included in this volume under the same title. 2. Eight messages given in Hong Kong on October 18 through November 14. They were compiled and edited from audio recordings together with the notes of Brother K. H. Weigh and are included in this volume under the title The Proper Attitude When Facing Turmoils. 3. A message given in Hong Kong on an unknown date in 1970. In 1971 this message was published in Chinese with some added material by the Taiwan Gospel Book Room under the title Concerning the Person of Christ. Later, a booklet by the same title was published in English. The English edition is included in this volume. 4. A message given in Hong Kong on an unknown date in 1970. It was previously published in Chinese under the title Concerning the Triune God--the Father, the Son, and the Spirit and was later published in English under the same title. The English edition of the booklet is included in this section. 5. Seventeen messages given in Taipei and Kaohsiung, Taiwan, in November and December. The first fourteen messages were originally published in Chinese in The Ministry of the Word magazine in January through August 1971. The entire series of seventeen messages was published in Chinese and English as a book entitled Being Delivered from Religious Rituals and Walking according to the Spirit and is included in this volume under the same title. 6. Four messages given in Taichung, Taiwan, on December 9 through 11. These messages were previously published in Chinese and English under the title The Ministry of the New Covenant and the Spirit. The contents of the published book are included in this volume. 7. Fourteen messages given in Taipei and Kaohsiung, Taiwan, in December. They were originally published in Chinese in The Ministry of the Word magazine in March through December 1971 and were also published as a book entitled Taking Christ as Our Person for the Church Life. They were subsequently published in English in a book under the same title and are included in this volume. 8. Three messages given in Taipei, Taiwan, from December 3 through 5. These messages are included in this volume under the title An Explanation of a Few Truths.

The contents of this volume are divided into five sections, as follows: 1. Seventeen letters written from August 27, 1932, through July 15, 1935. These letters were published in the periodical Collection of Newsletters in November 1933 through July 1935 and are included in this volume under the same title. 2. Three articles written from July through September 1934. These articles were published in the periodical The Glad Tidings and are included in this volume under the title The Glad Tidings, 1934. 3. Thirty-two articles and reports published in the periodical The Christian from 1934 through 1940. These articles are included in this volume under the same title. 4. A message given in an unknown location in 1936. This message is included in this volume under the title Concerning the Human Living of the Believers. 5. Twelve letters written from December 9, 1937, through June 5, 1939. These letters were published in the periodical The Open Door in January 1938 through June 5, 1939, and are included in this volume under the same title.

Brother Lee arrived in Taiwan from mainland China in May 1949 and started the work there on August 1 of that year. He remained there until February 1950. During that time he conducted a three-month study of the crucial truths in the Scriptures (see volumes 3 and 4 of the 1932-1949 set). Up to the end of the year, four baptism meetings were conducted, and the number of saints increased from around thirty to over nine hundred. On February 16, 1950, Brother Lee traveled to Hong Kong to join Watchman Nee in the work. He stayed until April 1, at which time he returned to Taiwan. The messages released during this period are included in volume 1 of this set, in the section entitled The Recovery of the Church according to the Pattern on the Mountain. After returning to Taiwan, he continued to lead the church in preaching the gospel and perfecting the saints. A total of one thousand two hundred twelve people were baptized in that year on nine occasions. The church met in twelve homes (that is, districts), six of which were in the city of Taipei and six in the suburbs. Some of the messages given during that time are included in the sections In Spirit, Not in Letter; The Pursuit of a Christian; and The Pure in Heart (see volumes 1 and 2 of this set). He also conducted trainings for the serving ones, but no record has been found of these trainings. On November 17, 1950, Brother Lee visited the Philippines for the first time and stayed for five and a half months, after which he returned to Taiwan on May 1, 1951. The only record of his speaking consists of a talk that he gave in January 1951 in Manila to those who wished to serve (see his personal notes and diaries in volume 2 of this set). After returning to Taiwan, Brother Lee stayed for only two months and returned to Manila quickly. From June 26 through July 24 he was in Manila and held an eight-day conference beginning on July 8. No record has been located of this conference. After returning to Taiwan from Manila, he held a conference on August 5 on "A Christianity of Religion versus a Christianity of Revelation." No record has been found of his speaking in this conference. On September 19 he visited Manila for the third time and did not return to Taiwan until the end of the year. The church in Manila was subdivided into four district meetings, and new arrangements were made in the way of the preaching of the gospel and the edification of new believers. In 1951, during his brief times in Taiwan in May, June, and August, there are records of some of his speakings. These are published in volume 3 of this set. The Collected Works of Witness Lee, 1950-1951, volume 1, contains messages given by Brother Witness Lee in 1950.
