A New Mexico rancher and his wife whilst securing their horses for the night watch in horror as a flying object just misses their ranch house, before changing course and skidding into one of their fields. On investigation the ranches rushes back to the ranch house and his wife, he explains it is no aircraft he has ever seen and no one is on board, the year is nineteen forty seven and with no phone they must wait till morning to drive in town and alert the sheriff. The Sherwood Boys are now teenagers and on their school summer break when they are contacted by their Aunt (Ada Stewart), who after many years working for NASA has now been elected to Congress, to holiday in the USA.
