After passing through many steps to accomplish God's salvation, Christ comes into the believers to be their life and person within. In The Subjective Experience of the Indwelling Christ Witness Lee opens the Bible to show that Christ today is living within the believers as their all-inclusive, life-giving supply. As those who have received Him by faith, we do not need to practice self-cultivation or mere human ethics because we can experience Christ subjectively. In this way, we can enjoy Christ and let Him live Himself out through us to be the reality and content of our human virtues.

Every basic revelation in the Bible has two aspects: the objective aspect and the subjective aspect. Both aspects are needed for the building up of the Body of Christ, which fulfills God’s eternal purpose. Seeing the truths in the Scriptures only in the objective aspect is not sufficient. For many centuries God’s enemy, Satan, has worked in a subtle way to blind God’s people from seeing the truth in its subjective aspect. This is because he realizes that once the believers enter into the subjective aspect of the truth, the Body of Christ will be produced and God’s purpose will be fulfilled. “I am burdened to show all the Lord’s children…the solid revelation concerning the subjective truths in the Bible so that whenever they hear any speaking that opposes the genuine subjective experiences in life and encourages them to care only for doctrine, they will have a solid foundation on which to stand against such speaking.”

The moment we believe in the Lord, we should set apart the early morning for fellowshipping with God and for contacting Him. Song of Songs 7:12 shows us that the early morning is the best time to fellowship with the Lord. To fellowship means to open up our spirit and our mind to God and allow Him to enlighten us, speak to us, impress us, and touch us (Psa. 119:105, 147). During this time our hearts are drawn near to God, and we allow God to draw near to our hearts. This series of Holy Word for Morning Revival on Topics for New Believers is especially designed to help introduce newer believers to the basic principles of the Christian life, which should help them establish a solid foundation on which to build a Christian life and church life of living and loving the Lord Jesus for the building up of His Body.

This book is intended as an aid to believers in developing a daily time of morning revival with the Lord in His word. At the same time, it provides a limited review of the Memorial Day weekend conference held in Atlanta, Georgia, May 24-27, 2013. The general subject of the conference was “The Completing Ministry of Paul.” Through intimate contact with the Lord in His word, the believers can be constituted with life and truth and thereby equipped to prophesy in the meetings of the church unto the building up of the Body of Christ.

In this issue we will continue four lines of ministry. The first line--The History of the Lord's Recovery--contains chapters 16 and 17, completing the messages from The Vital Groups, which are in volume 5 of The Collected Works of Witness Lee, 1994–1997. These chapters speak of how to contact people. The section then continues with chapters 1 and 2 of a new book, Guidelines for the Propagation of the Lord's Recovery, which are in volume 5 of The Collected Works of Witness Lee, 1984. These chapters speak of our need to pursue the truth to be equipped and of our need to grow in life to live Christ in order to further the history of the Lord's recovery. The second line--Words for New Believers--continues with chapters 7 through 10 of Basic Principles of the Experience of Life, which are in volume 3 of The Collected Works of Witness Lee, 1963. The chapters in this section speak of basic aspects of the experiences of life, including the fellowship of life, the discernment of soul and spirit, the spirit with the faculties of the soul, and dealing with the flesh. The third line--Maturing in Life--continues with chapters 2 through 5 of The Subjective Experience of the Indwelling Christ, which are in volume 1 of The Collected Works of Witness Lee, 1983. These chapters speak of the experience of Christ as life, the reality of the indwelling Christ, how Christ indwells us, and how to experience Christ's indwelling. The fourth line--The High Peak of the Divine Revelation--contains chapters 1 through 4 of a new book, The Issue of Christ Being Glorified by the Father with the Divine Glory, which are in volume 5 of The Collected Works of Witness Lee, 1994–1997. The chapters in this section speak of the concealed glory of Christ's divinity and the release of the glory of Christ's divinity, which issued in the incorporation of the consummated God with the regenerated believers. The final chapter in this section begins to present the three aspects of the incorporation of the consummated God with the regenerated believers.
