The aim of this text is to provide a complete rationale, photocopiable reading passages and a simple procedure for using miscue analysis - categorizing the different types of errors made by pupils reading aloud, to identify the reading strategies they are using - as a valuable technique in the diagnostic assessment and teaching of reading.
